A public BMX racing track in Uuesalu

The aim of the project was to widen leisure opportunities in the parish by building a public BMX racing track.

As a result, a public outdoor BMX racing track with an internationally recognised start gate and asphalt corners was built in Uuesalu village, Rae Parish. The goal is to contribute to the living environment of Rae Parish and offer local people an innovative way to spend their free time.

The public track gives local children and young people a quality place to be active outdoors without having to travel far from home. It can be used for riding for fun, training and racing. It is the only track of its kind in Estonia and the only track in Northern Estonia.

The project paved three corners of the track and installed an internationally recognised BMX start gate.

BMX Tallinn’s project “A public cycle racing track in Uuesalu” was carried out under the CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027 intervention “LEADER – community-led local development”. It was also partly funded by the local initiative programme.
